Well, I guess 2.0 might not be totally accurate, but

Looks interesting although it seems that I lost some positions with the new system. But I've also some improvements with a Java based site. That may be one big step!

Any one know when they are planning to change over.

I have currently feel off the face of google, due to host and site moving.

But on the new google search I am back on page 1 for most of my search terms.

    So the sooner the better.

If history is any guide in the matter, you'll probably see the new search engine go live around October or November.

I would call it Google 4.0, actually. Google 2.0 was the Bigdaddy update of December 2005-March 2006.

Google 3.0 was the Searchology update of 2007.

They will probably make many changes before the new version goes live.

Maybe this should become a new thread but what about this question:
"Are you going to change things around on your website, in anticipation of "Caffeine"?"

For that matter, will any of you be seriously looking into Bing? (God I hate that name, why did they not stick with Kumo? )

People SHOULD be looking seriously at Bing. It's a much better search tool than Live was -- but you'll only know if it helps with your vertical if you evaluate it.

I don't think it would be a good idea to try to anticipate what Caffeine will change for search results. Think of it as being only partly hooked in to the whole Google system right.

Stick to the fundamentals: create good content, get links from trusted sources. You should be okay.
