Total noob here looking for advice and help.

Ive finally got myself a wordpress blog some host space and a nice new domain.

Any suggestions on what plug ins to plug in so to speak?

Here are a few that I've been using recently:

Akismet - Catches and filters spam messages
All in One SEO - Pretty much does what it says on the tin
XML Sitemaps - Automatically generates an XML sitemap and keeps it updated
Search Meter - Provides details of the search queries visitors have run on your site
Wordpress Related Posts - Displays a list of related content based on the tags that you have attached to a post.
