Default PHP inserted menu: less internal links?

    Hello,

I came across the PHP insert method to handle your navigation menu (or any 'constant part' in the separate pages of your site) in just 1 single file which facilitates adding new content. As the menu is on every single page it makes up quite a bit of the internal links. Are those lost when using the same single (external) php file for every page? If so would this matter from an SEO point of view or is that too far fetched and shouldn't I bother you with such newb questions ?

Not sure if I'm reading your question correctly, but no, those navigation links that are getting called up using PHP are not "lost". Google will see and follow those links in exactly the same way.

When you call up an external file on to a page using PHP it becomes part of the page as opposed to it being "something else on the page". The code looks exactly the same to Google when using PHP includes in the same way that just leaving the navigation as it is without calling up any external files will look the same.

The PHP gets excecuted before the user/searchengines see the page, so they won't know that the links are in an external file.

When you look at "view source" on the page, you won't see the actual php code but rather the html generated by it. That's also what google sees.
