    Default Separate Accounts for Analytics

How do you guys go about using separate accounts for Analytics for sites on different ip addresses? Since the idea is to keep Goog from knowing the sites are all yours, how do you do this? Surely Goog can track the ip address of analytics users right?

Why don't you want Google to know what sites are yours?

Google might think it's spam, who knows what google thinks.
It's also good to have separate G account if you sell a site.

I don't stress out about Google knowing which sites are mine. I try not to do anything with my sites that I'd be embarrassed by.

So many people preach about putting their sites on different IP's for sending better link juice to their other sites. I've always wondered how people get around Google finding out about it if they use the same Analytics account. Seems to me that you could put your sites on different IP's, then blow the whole point of it by using the same Analytics account.

I have a new site I'm building that I don't want everyone here to know is mine...and the reasons for that are my own business. I figured since I already did private registration and have designed the site so it doesn't look like 'my' sites, I might as well go the distance with it and test out this idea of sending better link juice to this site.

This is still a business right? We don't have to tell everyone everything about our business do we?

I would only put the websites for which you really need stats in analytics, I mean are you really that interested in the visitor numbers of a website you only use as a "support" website?

Also don't forget that there are legitimate reasons for having several websites in an analytics account which are owned by different companies! For example, an internet marketeer taking on clients for which he needs full stats info

So any firm in the web development - or SEO industry that monitors tons of websites in their Google accounts is all of the sudden a suspect.

I have 30 on one IP and they do pretty well. Some hosts have literary thousands of sites on one IP. I'd say, play by the rules and Google will have no problem with you.

If you create multiple Google accounts and login from the same computer every time, they can still easily detect that its one and the same anyway. (<- Not suggesting they actually do, but they might as well fight spam this way too, who knows...)

if u are that concerned about google not knowing about you are doing with all your sites i suggest not using there analytics software. Just a thought..

People want to decieve google, yet use there software and take there traffic. I think its bad business practice to be openly trying to decieve/game your biggest source of traffic. Im not saying its wrong, just be aware of the risks your taking and dont be upset when your sites get nuked.

The paranoia of thinking Google are waiting for you to slip up only lasts for so long Donk, just use whatever you think is best for you and the development of your sites.

Realistically all they're interested in is that you're providing quality and not being shady, it doesn't matter if the same person owns the top 2 or top 50 quality poker sites out there. If they're worthy of ranking well, they will rank well. If you link to other relevant sites you own they will get the credit they deserve.
