No more Google analytics for me :)

Lately i have been concerned that big G will find out to much about my site (13 sites are currently using analytics with the same account.

So i started searching for alternative programs and my god, there are hundreds to chose from. Now to my surprise , the best tool was also free and in some ways even better the Google. It's easy to install and the numbers shown are live (google updates once a day)

Anyway, go check it out for yourself: its called Piwik

Checked out the Demo and it doesn't look bad at all, in fact I might give it a try myself, but not because of the same reason as yours

Piwik requires PHP 5 on the server?

I've been meaning to give it a try. Being less dependent on Google is something I want to do.

Yes , your right about the php 5 version.

I should mention that this software is actually having your own analytics software. What i mean by that is you only need to install it once on a server (any server that has php5) and then create extra profiles to get custom javascript code (same as analytics).
