Using Tags Effectively

For a fair while now I have been trying to work out how to use the tags properly with WP (if at all).

In the SERPs I usually get two pages ranking. One is the article on the subject and the other is the /tag page.

Would it not be better to have a PokerStars review being linked to instead on a PokerStars tag? In my case I have the tags and links to the review pages.

I guess I'm just a little confused about how to approach this.

That's a good question and something I am interested in hearing thoughts on from others. I'm not sure which page would be more beneficial for users, a PokerStars review page or a "Tagged" PokerStars page with all the posts for PokerStars in the same tagged page. I guess it would depend on the search term though.
