Importance of Text/code ratio

How important do you guys think the text/code ratio is and does anyone have a suggested minimum?

I've heard something like 25% text but I always shoot for 30%, sometimes it's just not possible.

If you're a newer/less respected site it's more important - I've seen aged/respected sites index pages that are 85+% code.
