Default My SEO for Firefox Has Died - Any Ideas?

For the last couple of weeks, my SEO for Firefox tool hasn't been functioning and it is driving me crazy! When I'm searching in google, the extra seo information (PR, Y!Links, etc.) simply is not appearing below the results.

I started with a Firefox restart... then a computer restart... then i just uninstalled/reinstalled the plugin. In the end, nothing has changed!

I'm guessing there is a simple reason behind this. A box that has been left un-checked or a preference that is off. Has anybody else experienced this before?

    Thanks,
    Chuck

Which SEO tool for Firefox are you using? I use SEOQuake, and just have the little icon showing in the bottom bar. Greyed out, but if I want to use it I click it to enable it. Double clicking brings up the preferences, and there is a 'reset parameters to default' button there.

If you don't have the icon then you can go through Tools -> add ons

If you are using a different too then ignore all that !

    Try living without the plugin.

That was it... thanks! Never even noticed that icon was there before.

Why try living without it Michael? It is useful in some situations.

SEO plugins for FireFox help people learn some basic snapshot analysis. But eventually you should get to the point where you can do the snapshot analysis without the benefit of a plugin.

Maybe as an affiliate marketer SEO is not as big a priority for you as it is for me (someone in the field). Still, I believe people should push themselves to the next level whenever it's feasible.

There's just something about the feeling I get when I know I am not dependent on someone else's choices and assumptions that makes me feel a little more secure in my SEO work.

For me it just gives a basic impression after that I do some delving of my own. Plus it does not give you the techniques or knowledge required to becoming a good SEO.

I agree with you that you should push yourself always further and further.
