When deciding to get a link from a page, we all know that if there are too many outbound links, it is a bad idea. Probably for 2 reasons, (1) it looks like a link farm and Google may discount links from such pages, (2) the page rank is shared with too many other links.
Now, what is there are mostly a lot of internal links, like 100, 200 or more, as can be seen at some CMSed sites, with tons of tags links or whatever; so it seems that (2) would apply, meaning getting a link from there would not be worth much, because it is shared with too many other links.
But is it so? after all this is an outbound link that we get and share with internal links. Does not Google somehow assign different weights to internal links versus outbound links. Does anyone know about such topic?
Please let me know.
