Anyone know why its taking so long for a schedule this year?
I know they're all panic and shit these days with loss of revenue, but when since the online poker boom have we been this deep in the year still wondering when it was going to be released?

If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.
Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.
It should be coming soon. Usually they release it by December or early January.
Although casinos are going to be more concerned with their slot revenue than the paltry sum poker players bring them.

2004 was released last week of November
2005 was released last week of October
2006 was released 1st week of November
2007 was strange because it came in all sorts of phases, I think maybe we didn't get an actual schedule till January, but there was first the dates, then a bunch of TBD incomplete schedule. There was also some other changes - probably all debate of Main Event delay or something.

speaking of the WSOP. Have they decided if they are going to delay the final table again?

Terrible idea, just terrible. If i was at the final table, i would prefer have have things settled right away.As far as I'm aware is was a huge success with viewership of the broadcasts up significantly. So I don't see why they wouldn't do it again
The darkest hour is just before dawn
I originally thought this as well. But all that time off allowed people to speculate on who might take it down. It also allowed some of the final nine to prove themselves in other tournaments before returning. And gave them time to get lucrative sponsorship deals as well.
I wasn't a fan at first, but I think it worked out fine. My biggest gripe being them editing the heads-up play to a measly two hands, which was just awful.

It wouldn't be as much of an issue if the heads-up match had been shorter. But their match laster for a number of hours where the chip lead flip-flopped and some other big hands could've been shown.
Granted, they had a very short time to do post-production and get this on the air, but it just seems like they gave up in the end because they were exhausted, and chopped heads-up play down way too much.
