Default Continental Poker Championship On Pay-Per-View?

To me this looks like it will be an utter failure & flop. I don't see why anyone is going to want to pay $14.95 to watch this on the internet.

Yes, you get to see EVERY hand. But the vast majority of people who tune in to televised poker don't want to watch fold-fold-fold-fold-raise and everyone folds, etc.

I suppose they're trying to think slightly outside the box. I just don't see this making much progress when there's already plenty of free poker on television.

I just became aware of this recently, so if anyone knows a reason why this might actually work, feel free to chime in! (and don't forget to vote in the poll!)

Low viewer numbers can add up to some serious coin with very low production expense is my guess.

But then again, people tend to believe their ideas are better than they actually are - I sure won't be buying.

If it was the WSOP final table and it had hole card I'd pay a few hundred for PPV (well not if its on TV a few days later like it is now, but in old format I mean)

For this, I wouldn't even watch it for free.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

I voted I'm not sure. I've played at Turning Stone a few times and there was a lot of regulars that knew each other well, plus its not that far of a drive from some big colleges.

If the question is just profitable, I think yeah it could be slightly profitable as in not lose money. It getting much bigger than that idk, guess is probably not but sure someone could find a way to make it work one way or another.
