Do you realize how arrogant you come across in your posts?

Read the title of this thread. I put villain on a hand. The hand was KQ. I wasn't expecting him to fold top two and getting him to pay to chase the FD was not important.

How much money have you made playing online pokerz? You act like your the next Phil Ivey.

If you are a good player, fair enough, but it's best to be humble about it. If you are a bad player, then you are an absolute joke sir. Nothing irritates me more then incompetent people who think they are king shit.

his flop raise is standard, your turn check narrows you down too much and probably gives him the sick hand reading ability you speak of as well.

if you're c-betting the turn he still doesnt know he has you beat, and once the river hits the spade it complicates things even further for him.

without history on him, hard to say you'd get him to fold his hand, but you would certainly get him to make a tough decision on the river, and i think you take it down more often than not against a reasonably competent villain. (although he doesnt display much competency in the way he played it)

think about what he puts you on both on the turn and then on the river had you played it the way i describe

yeah you are right mate.... i am still repping sets/straights/strong draws OTT and it's not like he will be aggressive and C/R OTT with top two in this spot to force me to fold and i have the initiative in the hand. this is the perfect board to triple barrel now i think of it even though i put him on top two i completely understand what you are saying now.

this is one of the aspects of my game i need to improve i need to be more aggressive in spots like this, that's why i am still playing 25NL haha.

what limits do you play online, out of curiousity?

Out of interest, have you played any NL50? I found (playing carbon) that NL25 and NL50 were pretty similar in terms of quality, I pretty much moved straight up and actually made a higher bb/100 because i just found there was more consistent play at the higher level. I think, NL25 forces you to play too TAG - with call stations, and even then I'd get sucked out by peolpe making silly calls, which also makes it hard to narrow their hand range post-flop.

I'm guessing stars might be very different though.

I only play on FT - Australians can't play on Carbon but I've been told the cash games are fairly soft there. I've played 50NL and didn't find the play much different to 25NL, but because I am constantly withdrawing from my roll I am not rolled for 50NL.

imo the biggest jump is when you start playing 100NL online, if you are not comfortable with your game you will get owned by the regs.

Should read the poker blueprint, basically says that you don't need to be 100 buy-in rolled for NL50. Poker doesn't actuallywork that way. You can play NL50 with just 30 buy-ins and then back move down when you lose 5 buy-ins.

Earn money a lot quicker this way. I 100% agree that the biggest gap is between NL100 and 50 though. I guess that's the point where you can play profesh with $30,000+ per year, so most regs are very high standard. Anything below is just amateurs/semi-pros.
