Rules and FAQ
Question 1 – Can I purchase more than one entry?
Yes, you may purchase as many entries as you’d like each week.
Question 2 – Is this contest legal?
This is a social gambling competition involving elements of skill where the house takes no cut. Gambling laws vary between countries, states/provinces, and local governments. Some have special rules for social gambling or skill based gambling while others group all forms of gambling together. It is best to check with your own authorities than ask this question here.
Contest Rules
Most rules are self explanatory so not going to cover many different things, simply as I think up with potential scenarios or challenges that could occur I'll list them here so we have a method set in advanced to deal with them.
Line Errors and Changes: Lines are set early in the week and don't change. A starting QB gets in and off field accident mid week, while the line changes in Vegas, it doesn't change here in our contest. Once lines are set those lines are final except in case of the one scenario covered below.
In case of obvious line error (greater than 5.5 point margin) the line will be changed. Examples: I enter a 14.5 point favorite as a 4.5 point favorite by mistake, or I put a team as +6.5 when they should be -6.5. Such cashes when it is an obvious mistake will be graded based on the intended line. I will also update the line as soon as the mistake is noticed. Mistakes must also be greater than a 5.5 point difference. If I enter a +2.5 team as -2.5 well that's 5 point difference and that mistake will be left.
Paid but didn't enter picks: It is your responsibility to make sure the picks are enter in time. How many have entered so far will often be advertised. Once paid your entry is official. *No Refunds Issued* for failure to make picks.
Questions from Members
Question 1 - How do the point spreads work?
When entering picks the point spread shown refers to the team in the left column. Examples:
Bears -6.5 Seahawks
Here the Bears are the favorite -6.5, change the (-) to (+) and that is spread for other team, so Seahawks are +6.5.
To explain the spread the Bears will need to win by 7 or more points to be considered a winning pick in the pool, as they are -6.5. For the Seahawks to be the winning pick they can either win the game outright, or lose by 6 or less points.
Have Questions? Ask
