I'll start watching this show again when they start playing poker with the same rules the rest of us play with, running it 3 times and chopping pots after all in's is ruining the game.

Yay! Though, I do believe they should pay me $200,000 to watch them. Doesn't that sound more fair?![]()

I dunno, I don't really mind that. I mean, when they've got a pot with 500-700 thousand bucks in it, I think some of them want to reduce their variance just a tad bit.
I really envy guys like Farha and Elezra though. They both have businesses that provide them with income outside of poker, so they don't really need to win when they play. So they gamble it up and are willing to make horrible preflop calls because they want to outplay their more timid opponents post-flop.

They should play smaller stakes then, when I play 5/10 in Chicago I don't have the luxury of making a deal in a 5k pot - which is as big a money to me as 100k is to these guys, and now every one at every home game wants to make deals and chop.
Run it twice was livable, but it got out of hand when hands stopped after a flop with two players all in making equity deals and not even running the board!
Run it three times? Even worse!
Bottom line - killed the action and don't sit at the table with what you aren't willing to lose.

Not everyone on High Stakes Poker will agree to run it multiple times. A number of the players won't ever do it. The ones that do tend to be some of the more action-oriented types, so you might notice it a bit more because the quiet guys who won't chop aren't really as much of a presence on the screen.
Plus, I'm assuming you have the option to not do deals and chop in the home games, right? So just make it clear you don't do deals and it shouldn't affect you directly.
Sure, it might slow down the game while people are dealing in a hand you aren't involved in. But then again, if they both keep their money more often then that's less players going busto in the game, so more marks for you to target that have shown they are afraid of being stacked. That should be a good thing for you I would think?
