Bodog Poker saving recreational players!!

Hey guys,

What do you think of this move by Patrik Selin and team?

Bodog Poker will not longer allow poker information portals to scrape listings from its site...recreational players don't even know about these tracking sites and they simply provide even more advantage to players who will already beat fish because they are, well, pros.

As Selin has said from the start, to serve the pros, the sites must provide fish for the long term...will the industry follow suit?

Thats great. Hope more rooms follow. 2 biggest things i hate about online poker are these hand trackers and rakeback.

Nice work Bodog! This is a welcome bit of industry news today and one that shows Bodog is seeing the big picture and taking into account what's best for the longevity of the overall Bodog poker ecosystem.

definately agree - the data mining etc is to a niche of already winning players

rakeback for the most part is the same but with more middling players feeling they "need" it when probably as lower raking and higher depositing players they'd probably be better served by more bonuses and fish focussed offers and not rakeback focussed promos - getting rid of affiliate funded rakeback IMHO is the other thing sites should get rid of and take all promos inhouse

there is also nothing that puts rec players off a site quicker than realising their data and losses / stats can be used by other players and they get baited in the chat box etc - that has upset alot of fish into changing sites IMHO
