Default French Open - Clijsters Out Stosur's Slam?

She has Wozniacki on her side of the draw but I don't think that will be much of a problem.

Smart bet for winning this Slam? It's paying like $8 I think. It's her best surface and she is in great form.

It's her best tourney but she's a choker.

I don't think she can win, although would love her to.

Yeah she chocked a bit against the Italian last FO but you have to give credit to her opponent she played a great match.

She is 26, at the peak of her career, she is easily the best female tennis player in the world on her day, I can't see why she can't win it, she has to win one eventually. Sharapova is just as much of a choker so if you eliminate those two who does that leave that can realistically win it.

It's not a good draw for her. Potential 4th round match against Goerges who she lost to on clay this year.

The following round will likely play the winner of Woz/Kuznetsova (assuming they both win 3rd round). Woz is obviously a tough out for anyone, and Kuznetsova maybe an even tougher out on the red clay in Paris. Kuznetsova lost in 3rd round to Kirilenko last year but was spectacular the four prior years. She won the French in 2009, lost in the semis in 2008, quarters in 2007, and the finals in 2006.

That's just the 4th and quarters. Potential semis against Pavlyuchenkova (who has also beaten Stosur on clay this year), Zvonarova, Jankovic, or Schiavone.

I don't hate Stosur, I just dont think it's a good draw for her. I don't think Clijsters being out is good reason to bet on anyone. Clijsters is way over hyped on clay, and in my opinion should never have been considered one of the top 6 or 7 betting favorites in Paris.

Ohh ok yeah I see now that Goerges beat Stosur in Stuttgart, the score was 6-4 3-6 7-5 so that will be a tough match-up for sure. You would have to think the experience of Stosur should see her through that match though.

    Semifinals:
    Wozniacki vs Schiavone
    Na Li va Petkovic
    Finals:
    Petkovic beats Wozniacki

I would recommend to watch the match Petkovic may be playing in the next round (quarters) vs. the Dutch girl Arantxa Rus (if Rus can beat Kirilenko which I believe she will). Petkovic vs Rus should make for a brilliant match, since they are both very hard hitters. Saw Rus play, and I think she is one to watch in the future.
