Default Important Physical Tells You Look For To Pick Off Bluffs

Ignoring reverse tells, what are some of the physical tells you look for in order to determine the strength of your opponent's hand?

In the past, I think I have given far too much weight to how nervous they are acting. This doesn't necessarily tell you the strength of their hand. They can be acting nervous because they want to get paid off with a big hand or genuinely nervous because they're shitting themselves if they get called. That being said if they are acting extremely calm then they likely have a strong hand.

I think one decent tell is how they bet their chips. If you can see they are deliberately trying to make an effort to show strength when betting their chips that is usually a pretty good sign they're bluffing.

But what are some other notable tells you look for that factors into your decision making when trying to pick off bluffs.

It's near impossible to generalize any of this because actions from one player could mean the polar opposite of what they mean from another. You can just tell usually, I don't know how else I'd say it. One thing that does tend to hold true is that if a player correlates one specific action with a set amount of strength, you can bet that the same tell will mean the same thing later on. For this reason you should vary the way you place your bets or simply make them the same way every time. I could probably write 3,000 words on this topic though so I'll stop now.
