I think AK is in his range maybe, somewhat discounted since you have AK as well. Also depends on his read on you, but yeah QQ+ is probably the most likely range, which makes it even more of a fold. His 4bet is perfect imo. It gives you a chance to bluff and even if you call you should be committed. Either way, he wants to get it in.

Yeah but you should know your stacking off range before 3-betting. What is the plan if he calls the 3 bet? He can play optimally in position and you're in a tough spot almost no matter what. Low flop do you check/fold? K on the flop are you willing to get it in if you bet and he shoves? That's why its just such a bad spot to 3bet. Makes for an interesting hand though.

I agree I love the way he played the hand if he had QQ+ You would be shocked to know what he really had. But regarding my stacking off range, obviously it depends on the player involved in the hand, and I would need to adjust to that. Against some opponents I would be insta shoving with AK, vs others its a fold, so not really sure what point you are making about that.

Sorry, yeah the point I was trying to make was that before you 3 bet you should already know if you are willing to get it in if he 4 bets. Interesting if he was bluffing (or maybe he's just a maniac player based on what you said haha) but I was actually thinking this would be a really sick spot to bluff, since he could likely get you to fold a hand like JJ or AK, maybe even QQ with the way he played it. But would never think he's bluffing based on the reads you had so if he did then ballsy play by him lol.
