I had no interest in betting on this until I read the first two posts, and now I want to bet on LSU. Luckily NJ doesn't have sports betting yet so I won't have the temptation.
LSU beat them at home, the BCS championship is near LSU's home. This is a no-brainer for LSU.
Mike - you really think it's a no brainer? I'm not convinced. What do you think the line will be? LSU -3 or something? Remember Alabama should have won game 1 if their kicker was any good at allLSU might be the play but I'm still leaning Bama for some reason.

I suppose it's too close for a "no brainer", but LSU has a bigger advantage this time around than last. Besides, did they get a different kicker? I know the last game was hyped as the game of the century, but the pressure of a BCS championship has to be much more.
You can lean Bama all you want, they're an awesome team and definitely have a shot. I just think the stats say LSU is the bet.
Btw, suppose Alabama beats LSU 9 - 6 this time, will it be a split championship? Probably more deserving than 2003 when LSU split with USC.
Split championship = puke... Maybe I'll just bet the under and move on!

No doubt. I'm an LSU fan, but if they lose, the title should go to Bama. Otherwise, that would be like Denver beating Green Bay in the superbowl (never happen), but Green Bay getting a share of the Lombardi trophy because they beat them in regular season.
fwiw, the lines opened up either pk or -1 LSU, but most of the prices were - for LSU and evenish for Alabama.
EDIT: And the over/under is about 40.
