    Default Tomic beats Berdych

Granted the conditions were terrible, but it's still a huge upset by Tomic.

I saw Djoko dominating men's tennis from a mile away. I think this kid is going to do the same, although I expect him to dominate grass before the harder surfaces. Just hope he can be as consistent as Novak.

Berdych is a really good player and is ranked at number 7 in the world. I thinks its pretty amazing that 19 year old Tomic was able to beat him. I think he's going to be a top 5 ranked player in the near future, he definitely has enough talent to get there.

Yeah it was a big upset Berdych has a big game. Watched Berdych play Gasquet who I reckon has the best backhand in the world at last year's Aussie Open and he beat him convincingly. Actually he beat him again the other day.

Tomic is a HUGE talent. So mature for a young fella.

The only times you see him slightly off his game is when the pressure is increased closing out the set or whatever, but that mental toughness will come with experience.

But he is clearly not fased by playing the big names. Even the Nadal match-up last year showed he can hold his own on the court.

Really wish I was going to the Aussie Open again this year, hopefully he gets a good draw.

Yes loving watching topic rise through the ranks, just like years ago when cash, rafter, philipoopoo and of course lepton.

Bout time we had another good male tennis player right up there. Nothing better than watching a good game of tennis

Tomic beats Fish in the final. Who would have thought

He has Verdasco 1st round of the AO though. Not that Verdasco has been playing that well. I reckon that one will go the distance.

I watched a bit of that match late last night online... I was betting on it in-play at Betfair... I ended up betting both guys at + odds and made money regardless of the result, so that was pretty decent. I never realized the in-play odds fluctuated so much at Betfair... Tomic odds have been dropping today for the AO... After reading this thread I checked out the odds for the winner markets at the AO and Tomic was 120/1, but now he is already down to 100/1... Obviously I don't think he'll win the tourney, but would have been a nice trading opportunity... I think he gets through to the 4th round and could possibly go further... Hopefully the pressure doesn't get to him...
