Default Decent hit at Bookmaker's Casino

I started off playing a slot machine only for the purpose of taking notes on how bonus round works and to take a screen shot. I ended up playing a little extra and this happened.

The image is a bit confusing because it says credits. That's actually dollar balance as is the 1250. Was $1250 dollars won not 1250 credits. The one to far left that shows 5,000 is the quarters won.

How the bonus round works is you get one roll of a single standard die and move however many spots rolled. The first time you hit a bonus round it is tiny. Even rolling a six you get just 70 credits ($17.50). But it stays with you. You start at that spot the next time you get a bonus round. However what happens is there are all these blanks spots that if land on you fall to ground die get no bonus and start back at 0 for next hits.

Well due to rolling a 6 and not being 100% sure this is how it worked (but seemed too) I needed to play again to be certain. So the board looked like this:

blank blank $25 $37.50 $75 blank blank blank blank blank $1250

I rolled a 3. So win $25. The board is now $37.50 $75 blank blank blank blank blank $1250. So at this point I am thinking if I roll a 1 or a 2 I get an okay win so might as well spin a few more times to see if get another bonus round. I do and roll a 1 so win $37.50.

I'm debating quitting at this point and almost did quit. Because am up, and rolling a 1 and a 6 in order on 2 consecutive single dice rolls is like a 2.7% chance. $37 EV and it will likely cost me more than that to hit two bonus rounds. But I'm like okay I'm going to just spin a few more times. I do, hit a bonus in what probably less than 10 spins. Roll the 1 and win $75.

No question at this point. I'm spinning until get the last bonus round. It is $0 if I roll a 1,2,3,4,5 and $1250 if I roll a 6. Amazing I hit the bonus round in only a few more spins. (overall it cost me less than the $37 mentioned earlier to get the chance of doing both). I roll a 6. I see the 5,000 lit up but I am thinking as my guy moves spots, was that already lit up. Did I actually count and make sure 6 was the winning roll? Is there a catch. Nope, no catch. Easy money . Overall won about $1500 on this slot at $2.25 per spin playing for about 15 minutes.

fwiw I do play video poker online. Recently I've ran like god at that too. But outside video poker, and a few minor +EV bonuses (like free spins for placing a sports bet) the only casino I play is for writing content, so I'm not a slots player. Thus this was a pretty neat win. I actually routinely win more than that on sports, but the rush of hitting on a slot like that was so much more fun.

    Grats!

I didn't want to pay someone $200 per slot review video, so decided to do some myself. Ended up "binking" about $1,800 on NetEnt's Twin Spin slot and that paid for most of the content on that site, ha.

Typical slot player's mentality Congrats on the win. That sounds like a really shitty slot game, though. That was insanely lucky.

Nice work Prop! Love seeing unexpected wins, I did the same thing last year checking out different slots (market research) and won $600. I was in shock, it was a $3 spin!

When said that it was common sense. Hitting next bonus round had $208 in EV and should hit well before that amount is lost.

Ohh for sure you'd have been crazy not to. But this was a very unique bonus game. Most bonus rounds are independent of each other but you'll still say to yourself "just one last bonus round and i'll leave" hehe.
