it really does depend on the portal site, and also the betting partner.
Of course you knew that would be the case.
But here is my range :
Signups that actually deposit and play at US accepting sportsbooks will be between 1 in 3 (33%) and 1 in 4 (25%) ... based on around 40 signups at each property each month.
Signups that actually deposit and play at European accepting sportsbooks are much closer to 7 in 10 or 8 in 10 (70-80%) and at some smaller trafficked places we can achieve 100% in some months (eg 6 from 6).
As we use the same advertising and review methods for both sets of sites, I put the difference down to :
1) size and brand name of the books (although Bodog is a well established brand)
2) accessability to simple card payment methods,
3) and possibly also that the European attitude to sports betting is far "cleaner" - it's an acceptable entertainment spend.
