Thanks. I will need it to work static and blog, and that's what's beaten me in the past. Will almost certainly need to come back for help.

I'm fully capable of making a living betting sports. It has never been my entire source of income but was a significant chuck up until a few years ago, with it being the majority many months. I've been around it my entire life though.

It is a job just like anything else. I never cared if I won or lost a bet, knew what I was expected to make when I bet it. The downside of it being like a job, is that after many years it started to feel like a job more and more to the point I got burned out and needed to cool off, after taking time off not sure if I'll get back into it or not.

I have habit doing that. I was near the peak of a poker comeback not too long ago, crushed a bunch of small nightly tournaments consistently, won a leaderboard, got a few backers the stake was running profitable, got couple final tables logged was feeling great and was all ready to start playing in and learning the bigger events and then pretty much like that quit. Not sure if I'll go back to poker or not either. I think a lot will depend how I feel next June, the longer I stay the more the chances are I probably won't play again. Kind of same thing that happened with sports.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

That's a really good point. Even now I don't always get the old heart flutter when one of my longshots is storming home, and that's a lot of the fun of it, the adrenalin rush. Even in gambling seems winning isn't necessarily everything.

Can still raise a good 'goonmyson' or 'getttinnn' though on occasions...and my littlun (two and a half) is already copying the 'goonmysons'. I will have to be careful with him.

He even told his Mum yesterday that i go outside and have a cigarette in the mornings.
    Now that's trouble.

The short answer on this one is the old Vegas saying "the house always win". If you want to make a good living on sports betting - or any gambling stuff - be the house - get yourself a site.

I used to bet professionally using servalr 'systems' mainly on betfair using backing and laying, then locking in profit. Willing to pass on some techniques if people are interested?

Im interested. Iv started betting using PaddyPower, mainly on football and the horses, would be well up if I didnt get lured into the roulette wheel which I won't be playing again lol need to stick to betting and see if I can build my £50 into anything good. Only trying it as an experiment really, I've always bet but decided to try and do this for a change instead of playing poker

    I'm interested too.

Pandorama was as near a certainty today as there ever was, I took 5-1 early this morning for £significant ew with a standard online firm. Within a few hours it was down to 3-1 or lower. Don't think it was much bigger on Betfair at any point.

I don't think there was any risk of losing, this was one of only a handful of times you'd hit this type of confident bet in an average year, and the each way part made this a bet to nothing with the stake returned even if it did get beat into second or third....but what would my best way have been to cover this off in Betfair if I'd wanted to?

It won by a street of course
