Default Cake Poker buy TJ Cloutiers bracelet?

Lol this story was so bizarre, and now it is even more weird. For anyone who doesn't know, TJ Cloutier pawned one of his WSOP bracelets, the pawn shop then put it on ebay and a bid of $4,006 won it.

The winner? - Cake Poker! lol!

Surely they are going to give it back to him, he must be broke, or are they going to use it as a prize for a tournament

EDIT: Oh just read Poker News Daily who say Cake are returning it to him. Nice one!

Well I find it hard to believe that he is broke (course he could be though), but he has/had 6 WSOP bracelets. If he really is broke then yeah I'm sure he probs would pawn it again.

I just find it weird though I mean he only sold it to the pawn shop for like $1k or something? He has won millions, like $10 million +

Yeah if he is so broke I would have thought some other players would stake him or something.

The fact that he pawned it for just $1k is pretty sad though, and if it was an experiment to see how much someone would pay then he wouldnt just go to a local pawn shop and take $1k?

Maybe he is broke who knows, Cake might have wasted $4k and might see it back on E-Bay

I read about this guy a few days ago. I think he is truly broke. He is addicted to craps. Win tons of money in poker and lose it in craps. So sad. Great poker players should know better than to do that!

This isn't all of a sudden something new, TJ has been broke many times. As far as getting stakes, he's always been staked, his recent performances are sad and any stakes he might get are likely pity and a favor now then they are an investment. About a year and a half ago a tournament broke for the day and TJ was among the chip leaders. With 9.5 hours until play resumed instead of getting some food, resting and at least trying to sleep as most would have, he rolled craps for 6 hours and sold his equity in that tournament right at the craps table just to keep at the dice. I remember hearing this story the next morning and thinking TJ likely over sold and would have to dump off his chips. To his credit he did go on to cash in the event, though knowing his second deal and figuring he had a first one I doubt he made anything significant for the cash.

This is not the only story i heard like this. Several players have shared with me deals he gave him at the craps table.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.
