Ok. This site's been totally revamped now. Any improvement suggestions?
I don't really care about making it look prettier. I'd like advice on calls to action and anything else that'll effect conversions please. Texas Holdem. Play Online Poker Games..

Any suggestions you do get, try using google website optimiser - that way you can do A/B testing to see if it really does have the desired effect, otherwise you're flying in the dark.

Does players actully search for these words?!

I think you can improve conversions with installing the "Redirection" plug-in to mask your aff-links

It is a complete mess and it is hard to find anything. You were asking for opinions, I gave you mine, take it or leave it.

If I landed on your homepage, I would leave as soon as I arrived.

JD I think he was asking to be more detailed on what it is you don't like.

PokerExtras - Your top banner and the marketing code looks mashed together in FireFox and super huge. I would tone down the advertising above fold as it looks way out of place.

Actually now that I'm scrolling - I would remove the pokerstars banners AND the top bonus table from your post pages so it doesnt repeat itself on the homepage. Or truncate the posts. There is just way to much advertising going on that it looks like those half fast spam blogs. (not meant to be offensive but that's the best way to describe it). Your ads should not take over the amount of content.

More things -

Since the site is about Texas Holdem - you should have one table or section specifically for the best Texas Holdem sites. Leave the bonus specific charts etc for a bonus page. Your welcome introductory message should come first. If you wanted to keep a stars banner I would have the introduction, the chart (only one) and a banner saying "Skip the reviews - show me the best Texas Hold'em site on the net" or something to that effect.

It looks like your using wordpress. Why not make the homepage static - or avoid posting to the homepage and have the main page specifically focused on Texas Holdem only. No reviews, strategy, bios - just a page on Texas Holdem.

Very corny imho - I honestly think some pages arent worth having if you can't even think of a paragraph to write about it. So if your going to have a "Poker Babes" section I would include a full write up of the female player (you can gear this towards the male audience if that's the angle your taking) but I wouldn't toss up an image, and say come join me on the tables, I'm always on the table. It sounds gay. I don't know if players actually sign up because some women is laying on a table half naked or if they just like to search for the images - but if that's what your trying to do why wouldn't you have a full page on the female players. You can still funnel your traffic to the poker room, but instead you'd actually have a page with words on it.

tbh you could make a really kick ass page if you included all the female players sponsored by the room. You could even create separate pages, with each page having a full bio, and the parent page listing small bits of information on where they play etc.

Right now it looks like your creating a page that basically says I'm a whore and you can find me here. Its tacky. It shows a lack of professionalism, a bit of laziness and your likely to have people hit the x button.

I doubt your going to get many hits to that page from the SE's unless it's the people searching google images who will not be signing up to the poker rooms.

Hopefully that makes a bit more sense on what I meant by pick up lines. Maybe that was the wrong choice of words, but that's the first thing that popped in my head
