My First Online Casino Site

After being indexed for a long ass time i finally put up a "sales pitch" type site on > Online Casino BEST <

I would appreciate comments and criticisms. I've been sitting on this domain for 3 years wanting to make a site out of it, but decided i just need to get something up, something that could possibly actually convert well at the moment with the right search traffic. Currently gets less than 20 search engine hits per month as it has simply been 1 crappy page you can see in the google cache.

What do you think of the domain name? The sales pitching? The text? Is it an okay idea to simply push one online casino on this type of domain name?

Would love to here comments. Bodog has been performing well this month on some poker sites and i figure its one of the few brands i could setup like i have on this site and try to market to world-wide players in a general sense.

Good for " Best Online Casino" I would change your footer sig to show that.

I've definitely thought about that, but i think for now I'm going to leave it that way in the footer. "online casino best 'insert specifics here'" is actually used quite a bit in long tale search queries. I guess I figure i can try to work on strengthening the phrase a little bit and catch alot more of that long tail traffic over time.

I've definitely noticed on a poker site that its very common and natural to do backward searches consistently and i often do them myself doing them.

Im not sure how competitive online casino phrases are compared to online poker as the only casino site i've ever administered is casinoreviews.com which is simply an exact match that never moves out of #1 for its phrase and has a good dmoz link that causes it to intercept a large percentage of land casino query traffic. At the same time, it seemed impossible to get the domain to rank well for 'online casino reviews' which no doubt has to be alot less competitive than 'best online casino'

I would skip the poker bits - the pro player - the best texas holdem games. I doubt the players searching for best online casino care about who the pro player is (to most she's an unkown anyway) or that they have great poker games. Focus on the games and get some text links in their rather than the bodog image. I wasn't sure where to click to unless I scrolled to the bottom.

*Edit - just noticed you have CTA. I would change the colour so its stands out a bit. The Visit Bodog link nor the one where it says Bodog.com AM jump out as this is where I need to click to sign up. With the bodog am part - I would remove the link in the Bodog.com Am and place a sign up link under the quote. The second text link I would change the colour so it stands out more.

Cool, thanks cheryle. I'll edit that image. It gets alot of clickthroughs on some poker sites and i like that amanda musumeci looks classy and hot at the same time so i like it, but the text is definitely not optimized for this page.
