    Default Free PokerMoney Website

    Hello,

After starting a small community pokersite and building it up I learned about poker affiliate marketing. I made a little bit of money with it and now I tasted this, I want more. I have a few ideas but my first website is about free poker money offers.

    gratispokerplaza.net

I put some pages up earlier this year and made a few changes to some pages later based on google analytics results. I am up to 80 visits from google in the last 30 days, almost 500 visitors in total but unfortunately not even 10 signups from which only 5 made me some money.

I know that the freemoney niche is not a very profitable one but I expected more conversion. After all, It is free and it is right there on my site

There is more free bankroll offers out there that I want to add but I am looking for the correct strategy before I start putting them on the site too.

Everything is in Dutch but I hope you guys can provide some feedback anyway. Please go easy on me, I have no real experience yet

    Thanks in advance.

I've had some sites targeting the keywords "free", and they never really made any money. The people I attracted were very cheap, and even when they did play, they never lost more than $50-$100. Also, if everything is in Dutch, you might be losing business from a lot of potential English players. English is one of the most popular languages in the world my friend Your traffic sounds good though, so best of luck. Maybe its just a matter of time before things start going your way PS. Disco Stu rocks, I'm a big Simpsons fan lol

If you got five people earning you money from less than 10 sign ups, very lucky so far imo

Is that really so? From my community site I noticed that a higher conversion rate from signup to getting paid. I thought this was logic, as is it free bankroll that we are talking about. I know it would be a great percentage for real signups with deposits.

I deliverately choose dutch to try to address a niche within a niche. Also, as I am still a beginner, the competetion is not so strong. I can practice...

My question: What is best --> Text links or banners

I wanted to have an informative look on my site instead of too much commercial look. However, maybe people don't click through on the text links. Not sure. I only have banners on my 2 most visited pages.

    Any tips here...?

    Hi Disco Stu,

Through my experience of working in affiliate management (although more in casino and sportsbook than poker) The best sites work with a combination of both but definitely expect more click through and conversions from text links. Banners aid greatly in appearance of your site and help with brand recognition etc but as the world and web users become ever more internet savvy more and more people become blind to banners as an option to click.

I think the site looks good, clean and clear and well laid out, My Dutch is non-existent so I can't comment on your content but as always the rule is keep it fresh, updated and relevant.

    Hope this helps a bit
    Helen

Does this necessarily have to be a bad thing? It should be easier to rank high in SERPs for other languages than English. Though, the best option would be to offer the site in multiple languages.
