Thanks for this tip. Was previously only including CTA's at bottom of article and naturally in articles, and probably leaving money on the table. Will have to try this because I am sure it gets a lot of clicks. How many CTA's do you include on a page?

Just wanted to say again a big thanks for the help on this thread. I'm slowly working through everything, about half way through the reviews as we speak, will spend the weekend doing it. Really helpful getting other people's opinions on things, it's so easy to get blinded when you're looking at the same thing every day.
    Cheers

Right, one week on and I've implemented all the suggestions and I think the site is loads better for it. Here's what I've done

    1) Sorted out URL structure (made shorter, more logical
    2) New room review format
    3) Room reviews made longer where needed
    4) Design of homepage made drastically more simple
    5) Removed coaching section as was adding nothing and no traffic
    6) Fixed some dead links, spell checked everything (favourite fail: broken affiliate link for 888)
    7) Affiliate links now 'masked' using go/whatever site
    8) Better more consistent use of H1/2s
    9) Font size increased
    10) More use of clear, graphical CTAs
    11) Changed logo
    12) homescreen top bonuses bit - made much simpler with clear CTAs
    13) Homepage bonus animation ditched as was distracting and pretty much duplicate info

Still some URLs to finish but pretty much there. Definitely feel a lot more confident about the site now.
big thanks for all the input, really appreciated

    thanks guys
    Andy

Awesome stuff Andy... lots of work done so far from what i can tell since the last time :-) - I think your on the right track buddy!!
Just one quick point. You have a Lock video review - and in the review u say they do not take US players - if they listen to that it may stop them from depositing even though u list it as a US site..

Maybe ditch the video review or fix (and place the video review within the content area - just my two cents :-)

Good job though buddy - hope u see some good results you certainly deserve it!

At the moment both the www. and the non-www. version of the site "load". You need to redirect one into the other. There's a few ways to do it, easiest is via this .htaccess code:

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]

out of interest, what's the implications of not doing so? Is it an SEO issue?

    Yes.

Their viewed as different URL's but have the same content so you can run into duplicate content issues.

Also you can lose link juice because of the dilution that occurs from linking to different URLs.
