Well it looks like you have the determination to build something worthwhile Cyberfox, and I think everyone here would applaud anyone that shows that level of determination and is prepared to put in the effort required.

I'll say again though to be prepared for much competition whichever niche you target, though of course that shouldn't stop the attempt and won't necessarily prevent you from making a return.

I don't believe there will be too many searches for 'learn poker by quizzes' but yes it'll be easier building an authoritative site around that. I guess you'll probably be needing to target higher volume searches around 'learn poker' - 'poker for beginners' - 'basic poker strategy' etc to get the number of visitors likely to get your return.

I've seen a few posts which suggest that poker strategy type sites find it harder to get conversions than bonus/rakeback sites etc but I don't know if that's just based on a few experiences rather than many.

If you do get a 'quiz' type site running there's an option to send traffic to pokerstrategy.com. Their free bankroll offer is based on completing a quiz. I've had some success there but they only offer CPA payments (to my knowledge) - though I believe pokerstrategy.com really appeals best to the player that's already through beginner stage and maybe at low to intermediate level.

I would suggest that you check the competition first before you start building your site. As others said, the competition is fierce - it will be very hard to rank on the first page of Google (SERP) for terms like "learn poker online" or "poker school".

I think that you will make more money by ranking first on your local Google SERP than by ranking on position 30 to 100 on Google.com.
6000 local searches may not seem a lot - but if you are on top of the SERP a significant amount of these persons will visit your site.
