At the risk of losing what little traffic I get from that site (I don't submit anything, my readers do), I have yet to see the value in it. It acts just like an old-style free-for-all links page as far as I can see. That's a treadmill, in my opinion.

I suppose you could extend that criticism to all sharing services like DIGG, Reddit, Newsvine, Twitter, etc.

Maybe I'm just feeling overly skeptical today.

I still don't have much idea how social marketing works. If anyone could point me to an article or resource to explain it further, I would be very grateful. I think the weakness of my knowledge of social marketing is holding me back big time at the moment. It's the only thing I haven't really made much effort with, and have also never really understood either.
