    Default Ladbrokes

Anyone promoting the £20 or £30 free bets with Ladbrokes?

If so, please check that your banners actually redirect to the proper landing page and let me know as mine all seem to be landing on the std free £10.

I am wondering if it is just me or a few. I have tried replacing the banners and still get the same problem.

I have of course contacted Ladbrokes affiliate support, my affiliate manager there 3 days since and even pretended to be a player wanting to sign and spoke to their online support who said they would inform the affiliate he is having problems but yes you guessed it no response from Ladbrokes still!

I will get them in Budapest for sure, however, they better reply to me before then or they will wonder where Chalkie appeared from when i do get there!

I have had this offer up for months and only the fact that a guy wanted the deal and could not get it contacted me to moan tipped me off of the problem.

Its not very good really is it!

Offering banners saying A when they lead to B

Makes me look like i am conning punters. No wonder i have had a few hundred clicks without conversion! Should keep an eye open more often i suppose.

    Still no reply from them!

Might just pop round the corner to the local Laddys betting office and have a "Chalkie Demo" placards and all!

5 days later and they reply!

Please remove the banners for the £30 bet as you are not entitled to offer it!

If you continue to offer it this will give our support staff problems!
Stuff your support staff you monkeys!

What about my credibility because of your lack of professionalism, what about my loss of income from visitors generated and then pissed off?

If you offer me the banners then what am i supposed to think!

    Hi Chalkie,

Apologies for the error here. The offer should not have been available for you to promote. We run a tiered affiliate programme and have slightly different promotional offers available to affiliates based on their perfromance. This was possibly a technical issue or a human error on our part. Either way please accept my apologies once again.

We run thousands of ads across our affiliate network and very rarely do these mistakes happen. In fact we pride ourselves on our attention to detail and dedication to making sure our campaigns run smoothly so it is to my surprise that we managed to let this slip through the net.

I can assure you that any customers you referred would have had their free bets honoured had they taken this issue to our customer services- depsite this not being a legitimate offer for them. We aim to keep up the good reputation of our brand and would not jeapordise the trust we have built up with punters by conning them or you for that matter.

There may have been a slight delay in getting back to you on this matter so again i apologise but this was due to our heavy commitment to the Budapest Affiliate Conference. I remember contacting you on this and if you need future assistance please don't hesistate to contact me tim.james@ladbrokes.co.uk

Thanks for replying Tim and sorry if i was a little rude in my previous post!

The situation is resolved now anyway and i am sure that you would have honoured any sign ups with the advertised bet.

People no doubt went elsewhere to get it though as the landing page obviously put them off, no worries, my own fault for not checking.

I would like to say, however, that a different direction to reward the better affiliates ought to be found becuse this way simply kills any chance that a smaller affiliate has.

Even a super affiliate promoting you for the first time would struggle to overcome the higher free bet offer that can be found elsewhere.

Still, this is your business model and who am i to dictate!
