For targeting european customers I would recommend

    Bet365
    Unibet (Sub-link)
    Partybets/gamebookers
    Centrebet (sub-link)
    Bet24 (sub-link)

    also recommended :

    Betsafe
    Nordicbet
    Expekt

All these program pays on time, have crossover revenue, livebetting and ongoing promotions from time to time.

Unibet had some problem regarding payouts ½ year ago (paymendt sendt very late each month)...But since then payments have been on time.

Bet365 negative thing is that they have negative carryover...

From a player point of view : all the sites mentioned above have high number of events, good customer support, good livebetting-platform and fast payments... (1-3 days trough bankwire in my experience)

And stay away from these programs :

10bet : They have a rule like bookmaker.com. You need to have refered 5 depositing players in last quarter to get paid!

Bwin/belosers : Avoid as you know

one book might be great for baseball, another for football, another for hockey etc, plus the terms / odds are different between American sports and European sports. To answer top 5 need to get really specific on targets.

The sites that probably work best in an all in one approach is European focused. They're all for the most part similar and you can look more at which programs are bet.

In American Sports if your doing the all in one, or non strategy type approach you'll want to look for anywhere that pays CPA. Bodog, Sportsbook etc. Novice bettors are far less profitable and per click delivered the player value most likely sucks if this is your target (This isn't just me saying it I've heard same for years).

If you get into advanced strategy, specially in American Sports, then now you can also consider rev books. Also forget about who has 60 day rules and if you need to have 10 active to cash you, because you know what: educated bettors eventually end up with accounts a Bookmaker account and soon get to the point where they could barely live without one. You can go with yeah their terms suck and make less $ but so long as these guys are willing to pay decent rev share there is a chance you lock up players now who get in based on a bonus, who later are betting much higher or are much more serious and NEED what Bookmaker and 5Dimes offer that the other books don't.

Deciding which books to go with really strongly depends on your approach.

Marketing to US Squares: Bodog, Sportsbook, BetUs, BetEd, SportsInteraction (note if that's your top 5 sophisticated players are not taking the site as serious unless its really kick ass like covers - but for those marketing to new US players those are probably the usual suspects).

Marketing to more savvy US bettors: Bookmaker, 5Dimes, Bodog, BetJamaica, SportBet - and they providing with the orange zone (not quite bad red, but not green) list of sites they can rape mo' money but don't want to leave a lot in. What will happen your players will be winning long term at those orange zone books while losing at the other 5 I just mentioned, overall winners you're still making money from. Serious, it took me a long as time to realize Pinnacle can't be beaten I was winning money for a long before I started to see which sites I was winning more often on.

For Europe I have no clue really: Betfair I get low CPA on for the exchange and have done awesome with it.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.

    Lightbulb

As PokerProp has eloquently pointed out - there is no simple top 5 list - because it depends on what your player base is and what they are looking for.

We cover about 15 sportsbetting places in order to get good coverage of sites that offer something for everyone - but where you live, what you want to bet on, and whether you are a recreational punter or a big player have a lot to do with finding the best fit for you.

Imagine a player was asking you about the best casino to play at - you'd first want to know what sort of games that they like to play right?

So it is with sports - but even more so - as there is quite a bit of variance in the sports betting sites online. Here is a page I wrote a wee while back to help readers find the "best bookmaker" for them - and it provides 7 categories.

THREE GEOGRAPHIC GROUPS (that have special requirements) :
    - Offshore sportsbooks US based players
    - Bookmakers for Australian players
    - Bookies for Asian handicap players

AND FOR EUROPEANS PLAYERS - FOUR TYPES :
    - European bookmakers with Best joining bonuses
    - European bookmakers with Best odds on a regular basis
    - European bookmakers with Best widespread coverage of (European) football
    - European bookmakers with Biggest stakes

Even then - this is a very simplistic and high-level look at the subject - but it does give you a feel for the sort of things you need to think about.

    Hope it helps.

Yeah - i just realized how redic my question was - Sorry!

I should of been more direct..I am a first time Sports betting person - so forgive me :-)

I guess for starters i want to go with 5 sites that will cater more to CAD and USA traffic. Later i will open it up - i just want to start small with traffic that will mainly come from CAD and the USA.

Obvious i need sites that will cater to USA bettors - since I am starting with only 5 - but that may change as i learn more and time goes on.

That is all i am doing now is learning and doing as much research as possible, while my template gets made and all that jazz.

I 100% appreciate all the responses so far - you guys have really helped me with your posts. THANKS SO MUCH.

    Hi Guys,

I'm new here - just wanted to introduce you to BrightShare's new sportsbook - AllYouBet.com. Check it out and let's be in touch (marciaa@brightshare.com) re: promoting this new sportsbook - the advantage is that because it's new, each player you refer is "yours."

Looking forward to hearing from you,
    Marcia
