    Default Odds Script Cost?

    Hey,

Was wondering if someone could tell me how much a sports betting odds script would cost to develop.

Any tips on developing one would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Alan

I looked into this a while ago. I had a poker odds calculator developed by a guy over at namepros and he said he could do it for $100. That was for an odds comparison script. If that's what you're looking for, shoot me a PM and I'll try and find his username.

Bascally what I want is to have different types of sports seperated into sections on my site (NBA, Golf, Boxing for example) and a script to show the upcoming odds for event/matches from like 3-5 bookmakers, to let players see which site is offering the best odds and to click and sign-up

(I suck explaining but you've probably noticed )

My coder Frank's did that on about 5-10 sites for me so has experience with it which should cut down on costs. Hit him up at F@DealerDan.com if you want.

numerous sites have xml feeds which you can integrate easy enough , or if you're feeling really game , you can commission a coder to scrape the sites yourself, which gives you fresher odds , as the xml feeds you get from the bookies are generally time lagged

there are many that can code it , rent a coder , you'll pay roughly $15 per hour , each book will take a day or two to code then a few hours per market you want .

im fortunate to have a partner that does this type of stuff for a living

    cheers

Unless we are thinking about completely different things - I've been trying to find someone to do this for over a year and 20k looks like a reasonable price on what I have found...

Would you guys be on for splitting the cost between a couple of us and we all get a copy? I imagine that you could make something where you put in the link of the odds, it scrapes it and puts it into a table, a brilliant example of one of these is here xxhttp://bestfightodds.com/xx and I think this guy or Graeme's Frank could do one for a reasonable cost, 20k sounds ridiculous.

Are you talking about converting sites xml odds feeds to a table or something similar?

The pricing would depend on the number of sites you want to display and such since each feed has a unique structure to it.

I would think about this would be about $100 (2-3 hours coding) per site or so.
