Default BetDSI Next - Look at this Rubbish

I have only just started promoting them on a new website of mine and this is the email I just received.

    BetDSI
    Dear Affiliate,

Due to recent events within the Online Gaming industry we regret to inform you that your commissions have been dropped to 15% rev share effective immediately. This is due in part to our ever rising operating costs to service players, but is mostly due to your lack of marketing efforts as they relate to your partnership with BetDSI. We have found that in the last 365 days you have referred less than the expected amount of traffic that would justify staying on your current revenue share percentage and thus we are forced to take action. Please know that this is not a personal attack on you as this decision is affecting the entire affiliate program and all of our affiliates. We simply feel that in a true partnership both parties need to contribute to the partnership and grow with each other. If this is not happening then it becomes extremely difficult to justify the arrangement as it is no longer a true partnership.

The bright side of all of this is that due to the recent policy changes from other leading U.S. facing sports books it is now easier than ever to send traffic and conversions to BetDSI. If you are interested in becoming more active in your efforts to promote BetDSI and would like to have a talk about your plans and how we can work together to increase both your traffic and rev share please feel free to contact one of our affiliate managers who will be more than happy to speak with you.

    Sincerely,

    The Team at BetDSI

Did you sign up a while ago, but just recently start promoting them on your new site?

    I got the same email.

I signed up years ago and but never promoted them now I just developed a new site and have them listed on it.

I'm going to reply back saying either put it back to 25% or they'll never be listed on my site again.

I will go ad free in 2011/2012 before I deal with programs like that. Note there is no effort to suggest things you can do to improve conversions, no offer of advice, no reason to try harder at all beyond a big F you right in the chops.

    Dump em.

They don't even put my username in the email so I can check if I have any accidental signups. No idea what my login/pass is

I hate to rant here (seriously I do) but if haven't promoted them much, drop them imo. Though that's up to you.

However what is incredibly sick is how many PAL members sites (not direct at you Nick, just a related topic here) still have Sportsbook.com and BetUs.com listed on them. If these programs are paying you guys for those spots okay ignore, I could care less and good for you. However if you're leaving them up because 15% of you traffic is Canada and 4% of your traffic outside North American occasionally does convert - Come on.. replace it redirect and say due to disagreements with management at Sportsbook.com we are no longer recommend them: and then put an advertisement while someone else is best overselling and making sure that BetUs and Sportsbook is NOT getting your conversions for free. (This is true right, I'm sure most of you disagree with management decision not pay to you anymore). Laziness sucks. These sites have advertisements still all over the web and I bet a lot of it is for money people are not being paid on.

Of course, 2012 on.. the strong survive. If these brands are paying you for the spots I have no issue at all. It slightly erks me though to see people promoting brands for free. AP/UB still on peoples sites too. if paid you fine.. but if not man is so time to take them down.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.

If you have many sites it takes time to make all these changes, and there are new changes daily, so not easy to keep up.

BetUs and Sportsbook are not daily changes. They might open up for football season and accept traffic but at the moment most who have left them on their sites (and both brands are everywhere) are sending players for free and not being paid on them.

AP/UB I assume are dead as well, but I guess that's a judgment call.

Leaving some small brand no ones heard of on website, won't make a difference. Continued positive press and branding for the companies that have just stopped paying affiliates and are large should either make there brands vanish across the web, or steer conversions elsewhere imo. More or less it was like hey let's cancel the program and 90% of the links out there (which are smaller sites, but all combine for a ton) will remain and we'll keep getting money for free. While most likely not the intention or reason behind canceling as it stands at the moment it certainly has been a great side side effect for those sites.

Fwiw your read is a little off here. I tried creating a new account at Sportsbook awhile back, and was unable to do so. I even inquired a few times via email if they have another option for US players. They didn't try to steer me somewhere else where they are accepting US players.

Unless something has changed recently they aren't accepting US at all. They aren't trying to get free exposure.
