    Default Player retention %'s

Kinda hard to measure as we generally don't get player details but I have been running some very basic maths and it looks like funded account player retention runs between 5%-10%.

Not measuring over a number of months as I can't do that but just analysing funded accounts as a running total vs new funded accounts and the differential between the two over a month.

Admittedly maybe not enough numbers to be accurate and not enough substantial numbers in diff. programs to make adequate comparisons.

But running at 80% conversion and it looks like retention runs at only 5-10%?

Seasonal changes are a factor - but interested in what others might think are industry benchmarks?

Too small a sample for sure, and too short of a span (players move in and out of rooms regularly). Retention is probably better measured over 10-15 months.

That said, I'd expect a very low number, turnover is pretty significant in my experience.

For sports betting I've always found random internet traffic very poor - My overall retention season to season is well under 5% at at most sites. 4 year retention is under 1% at some.

Back in the day though WWTS retention used to be awesome with just 300 players I'd have 70+ active per week and it lasted right until they closed. Once they moved to Bodog i lost most of that.

With bookmaker my retention is amazing now, about 21% of my sign ups from 4 years ago still play. I guess it depends why are the people playing there. Bonuses aren't that great, unless you know the angle odds are fairly standard. My overall #s there are small though. It basically marketing to the people that got tired of being stiffed and want a site they can count on. Almost all my traffic is based on educating the punter be it strategy or exposing scam sites etc. With this the overall #s are less, but the retention is great.

For random US sports betting traffic though - I'd suggest CPA at highest can get (even before UIGEA) because ultimately the player value is generally poor for just random bonus stuff etc. On Rev share you can certainly can make a living educating and having strategy content. Give them enough knowledge to reduce losses where there taking advantage of the intricacies of a certain site - most don't end winning overall - but they are now losing less and for what they're now an expert on they have no where else to turn. Site don't offer these remote little intricacies the average square punter would know nothing about for no reason. They offer these because the slow bleeders who are a little sharp now much have an account with them - and seeing as they're funded when the consensus is strong they end up making their other wagers at this site too.

In the end though can probably make more CPA whoring whatever is hot. I doubt it all that far off, and for the average guy building something people would link to and share - it "might" tip to the other side - depends on the person I guess.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.
