Default CyberBingo - Screens and Conversions

Hey Guys, I was playing some bingo this morning (crazy right) and wanted to grab some screen shots and dive into a few things. I like to get into the software personally and see what hits me as a player, so I can be a better marketer.

I went in and registered a new account. There were around 10 boxes I had to fill in to get started. After that I checked my email and clicked through to confirm my account. When the new tab opened the room lobby was displayed and there was $20.00 in my account. This is great because new players love the instant deposit (even if it's non-cashable) and they'll start playing right away.

Another cool feature at Cyber is they don't give away too much. It's amazing how many players will sit and chat all day while they trickle through their free bankroll. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that 'Chat' is a pay only feature. Here's the message I got below:

Also, you'll notice that in the bingo hall screen there are three 'featured' casino and slot games listed. This is a great call to play the casino games (where you'll make money off your players). Overall the critical first five minutes are great. As a player this looks safe and easy to navigate. Bingo players are a different breed of gambler. The ease of opening an account and being able to play immediately is so important to conversions. There is a constant call to deposit throughout the process, as seen above with the chat feature.

If you're looking at the site or software and have some questions please shoot me an email. I'll be happy to go through some marketing ideas with you anytime!

I don't like the idea of chat being available only when someone deposits. I find that you want to get someone integrated into the community as quick as possible when it comes to bingo, and by locking them out of chat until they deposit is just silly. Are people at least allowed to see the chat without having to deposit?

I would assume, if the chat is like other bingo rooms where the CMs offer bonus bucks via games, that part of the mentality of this is to encourage people to deposit rather than just living off free bonus bucks as much as they can. I feel a lot better method is by allowing people to chat, but not participate in the bonus bucks games unless they have either deposited once, deposited once in that month, or have a real money balance(the latter is one I feel converts the best, as it is a reward for people to keep depositing).

Hey Dan, you're right that chat is a really important part of the atmosphere. Players literally come in and spend hours chatting while they play a card or two each game. This is a really unique approach to converting registrations (and free bucks) to depositing players. I've seen some stats when I used to run BingoSuite that we're just silly bad in terms of RMP's. Bingo players on a whole aren't quite as web savvy as poker guys (mainly due to the age differences) and it takes some extra steps to convert them.

I really can see your point on opening up the chat feature to showcase the whole gaming experience. The free trial room actually disappears when you make a deposit. It's not set in stone to stay this way forever; but so far it's working better than you might think.

Greg i think your sale pitch was exellent. I was about to sign up, but found out i already did that last week. Im just kidding you, but the program looks good and im focusing alot more on my bingo sites now, and have ordered loads of bingo rewiews (cyberbingo included offcourse)

If they wanna chat they can go to a forum or something. Thumbs up for pushing players to deposit, that what we all want.

Hey Jabber, thanks for signing up man! Now you can sort of see what a player goes through after they click your link. Besides the rooms we play at regularly most of us never go through the process. I learned this when I started promoting bingo a few years ago. I'd scrape the generic marketing stuff they gave me on the backend and then put up a banner. When I'd actually run through a program (not even deposit) I found I could always write a better review and come off a lot more genuine.

Anyhow, really for the US bingo market it's all about conversions. Players are looking for us to make it very easy to get started. That's what I am concentrating on making happen

You have a lot to learn about bingo bud - the biggest aspect of it is the community, and a large portion of your income is going to come from those people that don't want to play bingo for the money, but more so they can play it while chatting with their friends and so on.

Well thats for sure, because i know as much about bingo as i know about sports, and thats close to none
Knowing about bingo is offcourse a big+ but not nessecary to sign up players.

No offense to Greg, but that was a vague statement written by an employee of Cyber Bingo Affiliates. If it's working good then I would like to see some data to back that up is all. Greg said that the first five minutes are critical, and it concerns me that within those first five minutes the players are told "to participate in our community you need to deposit".

hahaha i guess you got a point there.
Im not afraid to try new stuff though, and since im just starting to push bingo more, i might as well start with cyberbingo as the main promotion and take it from there.
Offcourse it may turn some visitors off, but if 9 leaves and 1 deposit compared to 10 staying and never deposit then ill take the first option ;-)
