Default PartyPoker New Jersey $50k GTD - Overlay

I just got done writing a few articles about the Party Poker New Jersey $50k guaranteed this Sunday. Only 13 people registered for it so far.... I really wish I was in New Jersey to take advantage of that. Party's also giving a guaranteed $1,000,000 first place prize away in February. Not to mention WSOP.com announced last week a $250k freeroll and tournament series.

If you're in New Jersey and play online poker, how can you not take advantage of all this free money? Should be interesting to see if there is an overlay this Sunday night in that $50k.

Awesome news Jeremy thanks for the update.

It's bizarre that players seem to be ignoring this news... totally bizarre.

Is the lack of interest simply due to the news not getting through to players in New Jersey? Or is it the case that the break was too long and people have moved onto other things? Or maybe the image has been tarnished too much, with not enough done to redress that?

The tourney is in it's 3rd week now. Here are the number of players each week:

    1. 173
    2. 265
    3. 269

New Jersey players are still having some issues with depositing, etc. Likewise operators are being severely restricted on their marketing efforts as it seems that any third party they want to work with needs to get a vendors permit or an ancillary CSIE license. Imagine that, regulators creating a bottleneck and red tape.......

Hopefully into 2014, much of this gets ironed out. Regardless, the market will continue to grow and mature.
