Default PayPal now accepted at WSOP.com Nevada

Read more: PayPal now accepted at WSOP.com Nevada, soon in New Jersey

This seems like fairly significant news.

I've been out of it the last week with EBOLA (or something lol) When I saw the title of this thread, I have a hazy memory of my wife mentioning this while I was in the hospital. I thought WSOP was a subscription based model so I didn't think it mattered much (since that model is technically legal) But now I see it is a much bigger deal.

I also wonder if things like this is why they separated Paypal from Ebay and all that.

Subscription model? You're thinking of the WPT site. It is a big deal. From what I understand credit cards have a terrible success rate even on regulated sites.

Credit cards have about a 2/3 success rate at regulated poker sites. You can't use a credit card to make a Paypal deposit at WSOP and other NJ/NV sites. Only EFT and existing balance can be used for poker sites.

Thanks for the info. I guess practically speaking it would be easy for players to still do credit card deposits via PayPal with the help of friends.

Ah I see, great info! So PP is actually going to work with "legal" sites in the US then? That is a huge change if so.
