Get hosting and reg for a .fr domain when not located in France

Trying to register an .fr domain and get a server located in France. But it seems that in order to register a french domain, you need an address in France? Does anyone know a way to solve this problem?
Edit: Just found out that I can register an .fr domain on Godaddy, but from experience I know that getting DNS settings to point to a server in Germany is a problem, anyone knows whether it's the same for France.

Anyway, I'd rather find a way to both register the domain and host it in France if possible.

Thanks Tim - but I just found a better solution. Eurodns charges way too much. Signed up with LWS , they allow domain registration for foreigners and offer hosting (server located in France too). And they have a basic package where you get hosting with one domain included for app. 30 € per year. Problem solved.

So what do you do when you want to get your domain off of the hosting provider down the road?

I'll have to find another hoster in France then. The hosting is not the main problem, the registration is. Anyway, I am ok with 30€ per year, plus I get a dedicate IP that way, so for the time being I won't be needing another hosting company.
