    Default Godaddy domain alternative?

I'm looking for an alternative to Godaddy for my domains. Looking for cheap, reliable options with private reg. Websites will be hosted elsewhere.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

If you can get an account with them fabulous is by far the best imo. Domains cost a dollar more than elsewhere but have private registration for free, can instant approve if needing to push somewhere else, name servers update right away when entering them etc.

To get an account though need to have some decent domains transferring in. If you do park any, they pay good too.

You can also get a fabulous account by buying an after market domain through fabulousdomains.com, jst FYI.

Anyone with a parking account can actually make anyone they're selling a domain to a retail account but the domains the cost $25.00+ per year to register/renew if you have a fabulous retail account.. Not sure if the same deal if you go through fabulousdomains.com or not? What you want to be approved for is the parking account which has discount domains (which just means similar price to what everyone else charges).

Thanks for the tips! I think I actually might have a Fabulous account from a backorder way back, so will look into that. Namecheap seems like a good option too.

Do you know it Fabulous gives a free one year extension on domain transfers, or if remaining time with the losing registrar will be lost?

Need to make sure you have a parking account (or at least discount pricing) if you do all is the same as godaddy - just domains is slightly more expensive, but no upsells and less issues: yes extends on transfer one year from existing reg date, free privacy for who is, if you need to do a traditional transfer somewhere else in the future you can auto approve it so don't need to wait the 5 days, can update name servers instant etc. (no funky extensions though is .com, .net, .org and maybe a couple more).
