Default Wordpress 3.1 adding   tag everywhere

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if it's just me. Or if this is even a problem at all.

Ever since the latest WP update, my paste from Word and paste from plain text options cause Wordpress to insert the   tag between every single paragraph.
Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward.

Word puts a load of shit code in if you just copy and paste I always put my articles in word (to check for spellings) paste to a txt file and put my html in then paste from that to wordpress (always on html) I use NVU for images and bullet points and what not, the thing I hate is you make a page all the code is wrapped (horrible when doing tables) but ive got used to it and fast.. But yeah don't copy/paste word to anything Bill leaves his stamp!

Well that's too bad. The whole purpose of that paste from Word feature is to avoid that whole mess.

I have the same problem; didn't notice it was due to the upgrade to WP 3.1. It doen't bother me too much.

    Default Same

This happens most when I embed a video. Always having to go back and delete them.

Anyone figure out a fix to this. I'm getting nbsp, p tags...and the best part is the tag isn't there, nor is there any space between the html. I always use the html tab to paste what I've done in dreamweaver, so I know it's not the code.

This is f'ing retarded. hate wordpress

This is what's happening to me

    Code:
    <p><!--</p>

    <p>&ndash;></p>

I just installed 3.1 on a test site this morning and had no issues when copy/pasting an article over from word.

Edit: I test both a page and a post and still didn't run into that problem. What I did notice though was that WP let me create 2 pages that had the same URL ( /test-page/ ) whereas with the previous version it didn't.

Fixed it - it auto inserted the code in between my table cells. If I wanted crap added I would use frontpage.

I have had luck just skipping the past from word function and pasting it in directly, the editor seems to auto clean it up.

I just got a new computer with Word 2010 and this problem did not appear with the first post that I wrote using the latest Word. Related? Not sure, but it looks like it.
