Simple Geo Targetting Advice

I've never tried geo targetting before but need to for a new site.

I'd like to purchase the plugin Dealer Dan/his coder created so feel free to post your aff link.

Also need advice on what to use to geo target sidebar banners, as well as tables (list of the best poker sites in a table for example).

Hey guys, bumping this again.

This looks like a pretty cool plugin. Is it easy for a coding tard like me to show different CTAs to different countries?

Also, I was wondering if anyone knows how I can set up a pop-up that appears when USA visitors click on non-USA affiliate links. For example:

Titan Poker Bonus Code & Download | Exclusive Freerolls and Review

Except I would rather have someone design a real pretty lightbox popup that recommends a different poker site.

(this example only works if you're in the USA)

Update - Just wanted to leave a quick review of the plugin. I found it very easy to install and use. I've started using it to show different CTAs to different countries. Very cool stuff. I had to e-mail support for some help getting WordPress shortcodes to work and Frank was quick to get back to me and get it working. I recommend this plugin.

Still interested in information about redirecting clicks on affiliate links when the person is from the wrong country. eg - visitor from the US clicks on a Party Poker link.

You could utilize the geo-code for that too - that's what I do. It does mean for a lot of geocodes though(I have like over 500 entries on one site haha).

For example if you had:

"And that's why you have to play Texas Holdem at <a href="party-poker.php">Party Poker</a>"

You could change it to

"And that's why you have to play Texas Holdem at [geocode=68]"

Then for non-US visitors in the plugin just put <a href="party-poker.php">Party Poker</a> and for US visitors...well there's quite a few possibilities. Popup as you mentioned is one - changing it to a US poker room is another. What I do is have a message so that it would say:

"And that's why you have to play Texas Holdem at [Americans: You cannot play at this room due to legal restrictions in your area. We highly recommend <a href="">The US-Friendly Cake Poker</a> instead.

Nice. I was thinking about doing something similar for now. I kinda thought it would be cool to have a lightbox popup for wrong-IP clicks, but that might just be me getting carried away with pretty things.

Geo codes will really going to help you in same. You can install this plugin which is easy & have best functionality. So, try it.
