Thesis theme

I have purchased this thesis theme for a blog that is not poker related. I really like how the backend of this theme is setup and it makes seo easy for me. Do you think I should buy a new theme for my poker site or would it be easy to modify this theme to not look as "bloggy" if that is even a word. Let me know what you think. If you know how to code at all, it is very easy to create a static homepage by modifying index.php (may be different depending on the theme). I have seen some heavily modified thesis themes that are very un-bloggy looking. It should be relatively easy though to simply modify the sidebars and create a static homepage to make a nice, clean portal site. HTML and CSS knowledge will be required though. (I think. I'm not familiar with the Thesis back end.)

Thanks Nick. I will probably try to use this theme since I already dropped $160 on it for my other site. The backend on this theme has alot of options so I will see what I can do myself if not I may look into hiring someone. Did you have any examples of thesis sites that look more like a static site? Thanks

You should also try to make some good custom design changes and get listed on the Thesis portfolio page. That is a nice, powerful PR5 link. It might be worth getting some professional design work done just for that permanent link.

Okay cool thanks for the advice. I have been trying to find a designer for the thesis theme. Looks like Poker Bot | ICM-Bot | Poker Bot Software also uses this theme and I may try to use a similar format since this is popular and easy to do with this theme. What does everyone else think?
