Default Site Has SLOW Load Time

Getting this message from Google for TheSportsGeek.com:

"On average, pages in your site take 6.8 seconds to load (updated on Oct 10, 2011). This is slower than 85% of sites."

A few favours for anyone here that'd like to help.....

Does it load slow for you? Painfully slow?
At a quick glance is there anything you think causing it?
    Should I be worried?

Loaded pretty quick for me... I'd say under 2 seconds.

I think it may have to do with the stupid GoDaddy shared hosting account I'm on. At one point it would time out a couple times a day and be down for a bit... now it's better, but seems to be slow at some times of the day.

Move off Godaddy now imo. It's always going to be slow, and you also run the risk of a bad neighborhood.

If you run page speed you'll also see a few things you can do to improve load time.

Yea Godaddy sucks. If nothing else get a shared plan somewhere, anywhere, but Godaddy.

GoDaddy shared hosting is the WORST. I had it as an extra account till last week I said fuck it and moved everything I had left off it even though it's a pain. I would never suggest it to anyone. HostGator has infinitely better shared hosting for same price.

Moving a wordpress site is a pain in the ass... it would prob be worth to pay to get at least a few of my wordpress sites moved elsewhere though.

I just joined a UK host i was recommended. UK2 - looks pretty good so far. Or you can try Gydians (Ben) service as he really is very helpful.

I would of went with his for a site - but my two other partners wanted UK hosting :-( - serious though talk to him - he may have what you need. Here is his hosting plans. --> Garner Hosting
