Default How to Publish User Generated Content on Wordpress?

Let's say you want to display a form on your site to allow users to input some data such as: Title / Content / Name / Image (optional).

What solutions are out there that will display the form, moderate submissions, and then publish the submissions to a WP page or whatever.

Is this even possible with Wordpress?

It's achievable out the box if you don't mind having users navigating the Wordpress backend. If you set all new registrations to be "Contributors" then they will be able to access the new post page. The content would then go into a "pending" queue for you to moderate/publish as you like.

If you're looking for a solution where a form would be placed on a page, rather than have them in the WP backend, then you're going to need a plugin.

I have used this one in the past - WordPress › User Submitted Posts « WordPress Plugins - though not sure if it's working with the latest version of Wordpress.

Yeah I am aware about making users "Contributors" so they can submit posts for review, but I want the data to be displayed on a specific page not as separate posts. I am guessing I will have to use a WP forms plugin and get a tech guy to do some custom coding??

Sorry I misinterpreted. It sounds more like what you need is just a more advanced comments box for a specific page? You could use comment metadata to add the subject and image (Soapbox Dave » Using WordPress Comment Meta) and then just add extra form fields on the page when they are submitted the comments?

You'd need someone to code up the comment meta as you require it, if you aren't familiar with the process. Though shouldn't be more than a one hour job for someone who knows what they are doing.

Are you wanting something like a Wordpress Users Directory? I have never used that Plugin. No idea how well it works.
