Default Taking out "related articles" code

I'm looking to get rid of my code that has each post display "older related articles"

An example at the bottom here: hXXp://www.thesportsgeek.com/news/football/rams-seahawks-spread-pick-for-mnf-week-14/7639

I would either like to get rid of it completely or have it show a couple recent posts (right now it just shows random old articles that are no use of showing).

I deleted the following code thinking it would do it, but it messed up my page: <p><?php _e('Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.'); ?></p><?php endif; ?>

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Did you check to see if your using a plugin. That usually tells you what the code is that your looking for.

Yeah was going to say the same thing. Most often its a plugin. The code for it should be found (and removed) on the single.php page. If its a plugin just disable the plugin or change it accordingly.

Thanks guy - deactivating the plugin worked... now where do I find out what code to take out? Or can I just leave it as is?

It is the following plugin - WordPress Related Posts

And I didn't see anything about code in there.

When you deactivate the plugin that should be enough. Do the related posts still show up? You can also try deleting the plugin and it will say remove all settings etc. The code should be at the bottom of single.php, not sure exactly what it would look like without seeing it it would be some <?php something.... probably.
