Multipage orderable lists in html

Hello my potential helpers and let me take this opportunity to thank you all in advance!

Currently i have a fairly extensive list of slots reviews built into a sortable list thepogg.com/slots-review/. The issue i have is that due to all of the images on the list page, it's really killing my loading time. I'm not optimising for slots reviews just yet, but it is an avenue i'd like to pursue at some point in the future. What i'd like to implement is something similar to gamblinggrumbles.com where a predetermined number of results appears on a page built into the page where entries across all pages are still orderable in one main orderable list - does anyone have any suggestions as to how i might go about this?
