Default Noob affiliate not getting credited for signups through my banners

I've just built my first WP site and started promoting a few poker brands. The first two signups I had were on Carbon (Chipsplit) and ACR. Neither signup showed up within my affiliate account logs.

What are the most common reasons for signups to not be credited? Do I need to ask clients to clear cookies before signups? Are my banners set up properly?

    My website is postblackfridaypoker.com

Thanks in advance for taking the time to help out a greenhorn.

You should be able to see if your links and banners are being clicked and how many times. I am not sure about their backend. Contact your aff manager, email them the links u are using, and ask if they are working.

I'm credited for the first "customer" but not his "signup" on one site. On another site, neither of my test signups were credited. The impressions, however, are showing up on my affiliate account charts.

Neither of these first 2 test signups have deposited, yet. This wouldn't prevent them from showing up as "signups", would it?Again, I'm quite green with this. If possible, I'm hoping to avoid having to contact affiliate managers before I am up and rolling with many deposits.

2nd question: Are there any TOS restrictions against staking players who sign up through my affiliate service?

Finally: Is there any problem with signing new customers up at the casino or their home on my laptop, through a tethered smartphone connection? The common IP address used to set up various accts wouldn't set off alarm bells, would it?

That's what i meant in my question. The players signed on your IP and it will definitely ring some bells. Most affiliate programs do not allow 1) for the affiliate to play on his own account. 2) multiple accounts from one IP.

If you are planning to continue signing players on your laptop i think you are going to encounter problems.
Btw, are you on CPA or rev-share deals?

    Rev-share.

Do you think that my accounts were already flagged on the very first signup from my personal IP address?

I've been playing on my own accounts on these sites for years (signed up under different affiliates obv), and would never set up a second acct. However, I hadn't even considered the IP address being the same with my tethered smartphone connection.

Also, could you give me a bit of guidance as to the rules for staking horses for whom you are an affiliate?

Not sure how it works with mobile - maybe someone else can answer. i assume it was the same IP though.

is it possible that you still had the cookie of the affiliate you signed up from or you cleared it?

In any case, most programs will have issues with signing players from similar/your IP - i assume if it was CPA deal you would be contacted by now. yet it's not the reason why they don't show up in your account.

    didn't understand the last question.

Cool, my signups are now appearing in both accounts as they should. It just took some time for them to get credited.

I was asking if it violates TOS for affiliate sites for me to fund a player's action on a site he signs up on through me. Many sites offer freerolls to promote the pokersites. So I imagine it's not only legal, but encouraged - but as exemplified by my IP address oversight - I need to do my homework with TOS rules starting out.
