    Default PhotoShop Suggestions

I would like to start creating my own logos, headers, etc... and am looking into buying photoshop. I've heard that the Element series is a good one... anyone have any experience? I would like to do as much as possible...my header on my site is relatively simple and would like to be able to do at least something similar to what I have.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Thanks

I've not used it, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program. It does the same stuff as Photoshop, but it is free.

If you are making logos, you should try Inkscape. Draw Freely.. It's like the free version of adobe Illustrator (kind of like Photoshop but more vector stuff, which makes it more suitable for making logos).

I imagine that GIMP will be pretty much everything you need though.

    Hi there,
    I've used PSElement Software (to:ThePokerBank - It's not free!)
Must say it is great soft to start with, much easier than Original PS and does almost the same things.

What would the biggest differences be? And I have seen your site, would be you be able to do the graphics on it with Elements?

    Thanks!

    Hi Matt.
Yes with Elements you can do almost everything what I've done on my old site.
My updated site is coming soon! There you will many graphic designs done with PS4
And PSE- is from the same family

Regarding GIMP software, I've never tried just read specs.
Maybe someone else knows the difference?!

I'm pretty sure that they still offer a 30 day trial on adobe.com, which should be enough to give you a very good idea about what it can do before you buy it.
