Automatically upgrading WP

I'm trying to upgrade WP automatically for the first time via the upgrade plugin.

I'm running into a quick question when being asked about my hostname. I've tried putting in 'localhost' and leaving the field blank but it's obviously not correct.

Can someone tell me where I can find the correct value to put in that field?

I assume that it is for your MySQL (I can't imagine what else it would be), you should just ask whoever is providing your hosting. It may also be shown in the admin panel that comes with your hosting, or in one of the emails you got when you first set up your account with them.

You can also look it up in wp-config.php (I think that is the name of the configuration file).

I have never been asked a question when using the automatic upgrade.

hostname : ftp.xxxxxx.com (your ftp address)
username : ftp username
password : ftp password

some people have issues using auto upgrade due to host permissions.
